Orbital ATK is currently seeking an experienced Mission Assurance Manager to provide leadership to our Missile Products Division team in our Rocket Center, WV offices.
Role description and Responsibilities:
This position is the Mission Assurance Manager over Metrology and NDT at the ABL facility.
: Lead multiple teams in the successful execution of all Metrology and Nondestructive Testing (NDT) activities across the ABL facility.
: Provide technical guidance, assistance, and mentoring to Metrology and NDT personnel including supervision.
: Establish and manage Metrology and NDT performance metrics to facilitate continuous improvement activities.
: Drive technology improvements in both Metrology and NDT with new equipment and processes including equipment procurement justified with return of investment (ROI) cost savings.
: Develop and maintain compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) policies, procedures, and processes to ensure the performance and quality of products conform to established standards, specifications and agency guidelines.
: Provide expertise and guidance in interpreting policies, regulatory and/or governmental regulations, and agency guidelines to assure compliance related to Metrology and NDT activities.
: Ensure that calibrations and NDT inspections, process control analyses, and internal audits are conducted on a continuing basis as specified to enforce requirements and meet specifications.
: Serve as Metrology and NDT technical liaison between the company and customers including the various governmental agencies (DCMA, NRC).
BS in Engineering discipline or Physics; non:technical degree may be considered depending on qualifications and experience.
: Previous experience in an Operations or Quality leadership position.
: Completed PES University or Lean Manufacturing training; experience implementing foundation elements (5S, standardized work, Kaizen, etc.).
: Demonstrated problem solving/conflict management skills in a manufacturing environment; is a decisive decision maker.
: Able to work and lead effectively in a team setting.
: NDT and Metrology experience required.
